Guard your heart above all else, for it is the source of life. (Proverbs 4:23 )CSB
When beginning to discover our life visions, one key factor is what I call the passion factor. This helps us all anwser the question of , what do I love to do in God. When we are born again we receive a hew heart from Jesus. This is the place where we receive revelation. When the word encourages us to guard our hearts, it is talking about our new heart. When we live life from our passion that is given unto us by God, we begin to feel alive. God wants us to walk in abundant life as we live from our redeemed hearts, which is the source of life.
Are you feeling frustrated and confused with your life circumstances? Begin to seek the Lord for the source of life in your heart. This is not worldly passion that is focused on selfish ambition. This is Godly passion given unto us by your Heavenly Father. Another scripture that will help us to understand this concept is found in Psalms 37.
Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be feed. Delight thyself all in the Lord; and he will give you the desires of thine heart. ( Psalms 37:3-4)
When we trust in God and when we delight in Him, he gives us the desires of our hearts. The word desire, has two root words, de and sire. De is of and sire is father. This word simply means, of the father. When we delight in God, he gives us the desires of our heart. When we identify our true Godly desire or passion, we can begin to walk in true freedom. Imagine each day, waking up with excitement about what you will be doing for the Lord in your life. So many I meet in the body of Christ are beaten down with the affairs in this life. Don’t you think it is time to begin to walk out of the desires the Father has put in your heart. When we focus on Jesus and delight in Him, He will give us the desires of our heart. These desires do not include selfish ambition of foolish dreams that are not from God. Take some time each day to identify your passion factor. If you find yourself living a life of frustration, you are probably operating in the wrong field or the wrong assignment. Yes there are times when we must earn a living to pay bills. But today make a decision to begin to seek the Lord, draw closer to Him. He will begin to show you your God given vision for your life. When we walk in the Kingdom of God in proper alignment with him and His body, we will begin to understand our true assignment from the Lord. We each have a field we are assigned to operate in.
Another parable put he forth unto them saying, the kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field. ( Matthew 13:24 )
Notice the man sowed good seed in his field. We each have a field where we flourish in the Kingdom of God.
